What is the Webflow Editor?

While the Webflow Designer is the full design environment used by agencies and developers, the Editor is a lightweight overlay on the live site that lets authorized users edit text, swap images, update CMS content, and publish changes directly from the browser.

What the Editor Enables

The Editor is intentionally limited in scope. It gives content editors exactly what they need — the ability to change words and images — without exposing the underlying design system. This prevents accidental design breakage while keeping content management fast and accessible.
